Lastly, the Granite Station name comes from an historic location, Granite Station, a bit northeast of Bakersfield, very close to my family's working cattle ranch - An image of which, taken by Gregory Iger, of Iger Studio, in 1974, is included, both as a color image (below this message) as well as the grayscale background images utilized on this page.
